What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field:

When I was in high school my Dad and I helped people in Mexico who lacked healthcare.  After that experience, my dad encouraged me to go into the field of medicine.

Core beliefs about practicing medicine:

I take time with patients and get to know them as people and as part of their family unit.  I see my role as a being an advocate for my patients.

My interests/hobbies:

I enjoy any outdoor activities and repairing and building things.  I also am interested in renewable energy sources and wind/solar power.

Family:

My wife teaches kids at a small Montesorri school.  We have five children who are very active and athletic.  I enjoy coaching their soccer team.  We have also two Shih Tzu dogs.
