What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field:
I was interested in medicine at an early age because my mother’s health was poor. I decided early on that I wanted to make people feel better.
Core beliefs about practicing medicine:
I believe in treating every patient like a family member. I also believe that if you listen to your patients, they will tell you what is wrong. Treat the patient, not the lab.
My interests/hobbies:
I am an avid fly-fisherman. I am now enjoying passing this on to my children. We also enjoy travel and hiking but most importantly, spending time together.
Family:
My wife, Julie and I have been married for 15 years. We have three children, Claire Olivia, Emma Rose, and Ben. They are all involved in sports and we spend much of our time watching them play. They are all gifted artists and Emma enjoys singing. We are very blessed.
My Favorite Personal Quote:
“There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why… I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?” – Robert F. Kennedy
