What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field:
I wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember and started in the medical field as a Junior Volunteer in the hospital as a young teenager. After almost 10 years of being an RN in a variety of clinical settings, including critical and emergency care, I decided to further my career in advanced practice as a Nurse Practitioner. I have always like being intellectually challenged and find fulfillment knowing I am helping others – I feel very lucky to love what I do!
Core beliefs about practicing medicine:
I believe that providing good quality, compassionate and efficient care in a relaxed environment is important to help patients attain a better understanding of their condition and treatment. Doing so enables me to meet the holistic needs of patients and improve their quality of life.
My interests/hobbies:
Spending time with my family and friends.
Family:
I’m married to Damon and we have two sons, Zachary and Ryan along with two dogs – Buddy and Molly.
My Favorite Personal Quote:
“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” – Robert Brault
