What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field:

My Christian faith was primary in my pursuit of a medical career. I enjoy helping others and the challenge of solving problems. Medicine is a great field for life long learning and service to others.

Core beliefs about practicing medicine:

I believe in a team approach to practicing medicine. Our staff has been working together for a long time and are committed to providing the best care possible. Involving the individual patient in their care plan is the best way I have found to be successful in the practice of medicine.

My interests/hobbies:

Family activities, sports, coaching, fishing, hunting, and medical missions

Family:

My wife, Anne Kettler, M.D., is a dermatologist at College Park.  We have three children – Christian, a history major at KU; Katy, pre-med at University of Arkansas; and Colin, Kansas City Chirstian High School.  We also have a dog, Chai, a cat, Tubby, and a snake, Max.
