What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field:
My interest in health and the body, a desire to help people, and a love for educating people on how to care for themselves.
Core beliefs about practicing medicine:
- The patient brings a lot to the interaction. Healthcare is a partnership between provider and patient.
- Honesty – I may not know the answer to your concern, but I will keep working with you to get to the answer.
- Health promotion is the most important component to healthcare. I believe in diet, exercise and stress reduction as first line of disease prevention.
