What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field:
In college I was studying for a degree in Biomedical Engineering, aiming for a career in research and development. During my junior year, the Lord spoke directly and specifically to me telling me to become a physician instead. I am so thankful He did as I have immensely enjoyed the relationships I have experienced with patients and their families.
Core beliefs about practicing medicine:
I enjoy treating my patients’ illnesses or injuries and especially like empowering them to improve their own health.
My interests/hobbies:
Reading, exercise, interacting with my family, studying and teaching the Bible, leading worship, medical missions, laughter and fun.
Family:
My wife, Wendy is a Clinical Nurse Practitioner, homeschool mother, and church homegroup leader. We have three daughters - Hannah, Jessica, and Becca and a son, Stephen. We also have two springer spaniels – Mercy and Grace.
My Favorite Personal Quote:
“Prayer is fundamental, not supplemental.” – Eric Alexander
