What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field:

I sensed that God was leading me into medicine to help others. I was also feeling a call in my life to help others in third world settings.

Core beliefs about practicing medicine:

I believe in the team concept of medical decision making. It is important that my patients participate in the process of determining the best way to deal with medical problems/health management.

My interests/hobbies:

Mountain climbing, bicycling, music (piano, singing, percussion), drum collection, landscaping, sailing, and taking long walks every morning

I am married to Judith and we have four children - Clare, Lily, Theo and Hudson.
